Day 1 : Casablanca - Chefchaouen

During this tour, we will make several stops at some of Rabat's highlights, such as the impressive Hassan Tower, before heading towards the captivating blue city of Chefchaouen. At the end of the day, you will have the opportunity to spend the night in an authentic riad nestled in the bustling Medina, immersing yourself in the local atmosphere.

Day 2 : Guided tour of Chefchaouen

We will explore the beautiful blue city, as we stroll through its narrow blue streets, lined with captivating little shops, where you will find the most creative and captivating Moroccan handicrafts, and mostly beautifully woven items (Chefchaouen's specialty).

Next, we will have a memorable tour of the blue-washed buildings, small squares, ornate fountains, and houses with elaborately decorated authentic doors and red-tiled roofs. We will tour the ancient monuments of the blue city, such as the famous Grand Mosque and the Uta el-Hammam Square, to admire the fascinating mix of Arabic and Spanish architecture. As soon as we finish exploring the relaxing sites of the blue city, we will have lunch at a local restaurant, with the most beautiful panoramic view over the Ech-Chaouan mountains.

Day 3 : Chefchaouen - Volubilis - Meknes - Fez

We will embark on a journey to Fez, making interesting stops along the way. Our first stop will be Ouazzane, a captivating city with its own unique charm. Continuing our route, we will reach the remarkable Roman site of Volubilis, a well-preserved testimony of the Roman Empire dating back to 225 BC. Prepare to be captivated by the stunning mosaics dating back to the 3rd century BC, as you explore the site with an expert guide.

Next, our adventure takes us to Meknes, once the capital of Morocco under the rule of Sultan Moulay Ismail. You will have the opportunity to marvel at the grandeur of Bab Mansour, an impressive gate built during the reign of Sultan My Ismail. In addition, we will visit the granary and the Sahrij Souani, an innovative irrigation system.

We will then continue to Fez, traveling by road. Our accommodation for the night will be in a luxurious riad located within the medina, ensuring a delightful stay in this historic city.

Day 4 : Guided tour of Fez

It's time to immerse yourself in the charming city of Fez, often called "the spiritual city of Morocco." The morning is dedicated to exploring the labyrinthine alleys and captivating views of the Medina.

Our tour begins with visits to important cultural and historical sites, including the famous Al Karaouine mosque and university, considered the oldest university in the world. We will also explore the intricately designed Madrasa Bouanania, the fascinating tanneries, and the beautiful Najjarine fountain.

After a satisfying lunch, we will venture outside the Medina to discover more treasures. We will witness the grandeur of the Royal Palace gate, stroll through the historic Jewish quarter known as “the Mellah,” and visit a pottery cooperative to witness traditional craftsmanship.

Day 5 : Fez - Ifrane - Azrou - Midelt - Erfoud - Merzouga

Begin this journey into the captivating Merzouga desert, passing through Midelt and Errachidia. This leg of your Grand Tour of Morocco begins with a stop in the picturesque town of Ifrane, often called “the Switzerland of Morocco.” As we continue our journey through Midelt and the scenic Ziz Valley, you will be treated to stunning views of the Middle Atlas and High Atlas Mountains.

Along the way, we will stop at the famous cedar forest, the largest in Morocco, where you can observe the fascinating Barbary apes. The landscape gradually transforms, revealing hints of the desert as we approach the town of Er Rachidia. After enjoying a delicious lunch in Midelt, our journey unfolds along the magnificent Ziz Valley, offering panoramic views at several stops along the way.

Passing Berber villages, we reach Erfoud and then Rissani, the historic foundation of the Alaouite dynasty, Morocco's ruling royal family. Upon arrival in Merzouga, you will be greeted with a refreshing glass of mint tea. There, you will embark on a camel ride to witness the stunning sunset among the towering sand dunes.

Day 6 : Merzouga - Todra Gorges - Dades

Your camel guide will wake you up early in the morning to witness a sunrise that may be one of the most breathtaking moments of your life.

As the golden rays of the sun adorn the dunes of Erg Chebbi, you will embark on a leisurely camel trek back to your starting point, allowing you to fully appreciate the unique beauty of the ever-changing landscape. The dunes will enchant you with their captivating colours and shapes, evolving with the changing light throughout the day. Upon arrival at your destination, you will meet your driver and continue your journey towards Tinghir and the famous Todra Gorges, a natural wonder characterised by its towering cliffs and narrow passages. Here, you will have the opportunity to explore the valley on a panoramic hike, immersing yourself in the stunning surroundings.

Next, we will drive through the captivating Dades Valley, where you will be mesmerized by the sight of majestic sand castles and fascinating rock formations known as “monkey fingers.” These natural wonders add a touch of magic to an already stunning landscape. Lastly, you will spend the night in a charming riad or hotel nestled in the heart of the gorge, offering a serene atmosphere and comfortable accommodation. You will be able to indulge in a delicious dinner and a restful night’s sleep before continuing your memorable trip through Morocco.

Day 7 : Dades Valley – Kasbah of It Ben Haddou – Marrakech

We will embark on a scenic drive through the enchanting Dades Valley, known as the “Road of a Thousand Kasbahs.” This picturesque route will offer you countless opportunities to capture some of the most stunning photographs of your entire trip.

As we continue our journey on this 7-day Sahara trip from Casablanca, we will stop at Kalaat Mgouna, also known as “the pink city.” Here, you will have the opportunity to purchase the famous rose water, a fragrant souvenir that will keep your bed linens smelling delicious long after your adventure is over. Our next destination is Ouarzazate, often referred to as “the Hollywood of Africa,” where we will immerse ourselves in the vibrant atmosphere of this bustling center of the film industry.

For lunch, we will enjoy a delicious meal at the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, the largest and most prominent Kasbah in all of Morocco. This architectural marvel has been recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and has served as the setting for numerous acclaimed films, including “Lawrence of Arabia,” “Gladiator,” and “Game of Thrones.”

Our journey continues as we traverse the majestic Tizi ‘n’ Tichka Pass, reaching an altitude of 2,260 meters as we cross the High Atlas Mountains. Along the way, we will have the opportunity to stop and explore the fascinating process of argan oil production in women's cooperatives, allowing us to better understand this valuable Moroccan product.
