Combine the best sites of the Moroccan desert, from a UNESCO World Heritage-listed city to towering dunes, on this private 4-day tour from Marrakech. Travelling with a private driver ensures a personalised experience, so you can take in some of the country’s highlights your way. Spending the night in a desert camp is a chance to experience the Sahara at its most pristine, when the hikers leave and the constellations rise above the sand.

Tour Plan

Day 1 : Marrakech – Sidi Ifni

Our journey starts from the pretty city of Agadir, heading to the coastal town of Sidi Ifni, passing through Tiznit, a small village built by Hassna I in 1881, the village is famous for its silver market, jewelry and its swords. We spend the night in Sidi Ifni.

Day 2 : Sidi Ifni – Amtodi

We leave Sidi Ifni after breakfast and head to Guelmim. We cover the entire blank page before making a detour and heading into the depths of Guelmim and then towards the village of Amtodi, where we will visit the Kasbah “Agadir n’Aiss”, a fortress built in the 12th century.

Day 3: Amtodi – Tafraout

After visiting the Amtodi site, we leave the area and head towards the beautiful Villaeg Tafraout crossing the magnificent Ait Mansour gorges, a place where every photograph you take is a work of art. We will spend the night in Tafraout.

Day 4: Tafraout – Tata

After exploring the village of Tafraout and the entire valley surrounding it, we take the Tata road, crossing the Amel valley, located at the foot of Djbel Lkest, and containing a large number of small villages with numerous water springs and small oases. You will also see engravings in the rocks such as “the lion's head” and the traditional house of Omesnate, we will also visit the blue spring of Annamer. Then we will pass through the villages of Tazegzatwt, Tizgui and Idawbalou.

Day 5 : Tata – Erg Chegaga

The fifth day takes us from Tata to the magnificent dunes of Chegaga, passing through Tissint and Foumzguid. Once we reach the beginning of the Chegaga desert, we will take the camels to find the camp in the heart of the dunes and contemplate the majestic sunset.

Day 6 : Erg Chegaga – Marrakech

Last day of our extraordinary trip, we leave the city of Zagora and head towards Ouarzazate, visiting some attractions of the city, its kasbah of Taourirte, its film museum and its huge studio, then continuing towards the fortified village of Ait Benhaddou before returning to Marrakech.
