2 days from Marrakech to Erg Chigaga desert

Day 1 : Marrakech – Erg Chigaga

Your 2 days private desert trip from Marrakech to Erg Chigaga will start at 8:00 am from your Riad/Hotel accommodation in Marrakech, we will head south towards the High Atlas Mountains. We would definitely stop for an hour but with a beautiful panoramic view of the Berber villages and the valley. We continue driving through the mountains to reach the highest pass in Africa called Tizi-N Tichka with an altitude of 2260m/7500ft. We would definitely stop for pictures. We will reach the Berber village of Tazenakht, the Lifetime adventure continues until we reach Foum-Zguid, the last village before leaving the road. Stop for lunch. We will drive through different terrains, rocky deserts, sand dunes and oasis. Stopping at Lake Iriqui in the middle of nowhere. We will be in Erg Chigagga before sunset. Your camels will be ready in the dunes to start your trek. Dinner, campfire, nomadic entertainment and accommodation in a Berber tent at the Nomadic Desert Camp.

Day 2 : Erg Chigaga – Marrakech

Wake up early this morning to attend the sunrise from the top of the sand dunes; a beautiful contrast of sun and sand not to be missed. Breakfast will be at the desert camp. We start driving off-road in the direction of the village of Mhamid. We get back on the paved road. You will visit Zagora on the way and then drive through the Draa Valley and the Low Atlas Mountains. Lunch will be at Ait Benhaddou and then we will visit the famous Kasbah. Later, we drive back to Marrakech through the High Atlas Mountains. We stop for pictures and then arrive in Marrakech around 6pm. Your 2-day tour from Marrakech to Erg Chigaga desert ends at your Riad/Hotel in Marrakech.
